Hi I'm fairly new to administrating a Unix system, especially FreeBSD. How
does one enable a host to be active? Meaning I just configured all the proper
TCP/IP configurations I get success full connections to my network. But when I
try to ping the server I get an error that says "Host is Down".

My TCP/IP configurations are as Followed:

/etc/networks

metronet 10.0.0 #Class C Not Connect to Inet
metromsk 255.255.255.0 #Subneting the network.
#But with One machine is it necessary?
#No Subnets

/etc/hosts
	10.0.0.2 localhost metro.mli-vtg.com

	10.0.0.10 www.mli-vtg.com
	10.0.0.11 ftp.mli-vtg.com

#Networks

10.0.0.2 metro.mli-vtg.com metro

/etc/sysconfig
