I have tried (in vain) to get mosaic 2.7b4 and 2.7b2 to compile and
run under FreeBSD 2.1-RELEASE linking it with the version of lesstif
in the incoming directory on the FreeBSD FTP server. The problems
appear to be with lesstif rather than with Mosaic. Attempting to
run 2.7b2 results in the window manager hanging when you use pulldown
menus, and the menus don't look right either. Version 2.7b4 will
abort right away if you try to display the splash screen. Turning this off
results in a bunch of lesstif errors and then a screwed up window being
displayed. Is this a problem with lesstif in general, or is the version
on the FTP server just hosed?

Has anyone had any luck with this? I can't believe I'm the only
one who has tried this!
