Measure the performance of the system for MY QUALITY CONTROL needs. If I can do it, CERTAINLY someone like you with your benchmarking credentials could do so also... Am I wrong? Are you up to it? I do not publish my stuff simply because it is not an interest of mine, but ONLY a tool. Very seldom, have I publically pronounced performance figures from these benchmarks. Additionally, I have NOT said that FreeBSD is superior only because of a single benchmark in my suite... I can tell you individual performance figures from them, but certainly conclusions about the merits of the OSes are hard to distinguish. This is definitely true when there is only a difference of 10% or so... > : If all that was claimed was: Linux's ZERO LOAD LATENCY appears to be faster > : than *BSD now. The benchmark results are from YOUR TCP latency measurement that DOES NOT consider load. AGAIN, it is the interpretation and public proclaimations that are the most insidious problem here. I AM NOT blaming your benchmarks, it is yours and Linus, etc conclusions... John
