I was following the instructions on page 59 of the installing and running BSD manual (by Greg Lehey) to create a symbolic link /var to point to /usr/var. When I issued the command tar cf - . | (cd /usr/var; tar xf - ), I got the error message "tar: unknown option. Use `tar --help' for a complete list of options." What's the deal here? I typed it exaclty as the manual says! Your comments would be appreciated. Andy
