Subject: help: how to increase max # of user nobody's processes

As the subject line notes, I'm trying to increase the maximum # of processes
spawned by the user "nobody." I've set up Netscape's httpd to be started by
nobody but after about 4 or 5 instances (for a number of virtual domains)
it seems to crap out when users try to execute cgi scripts (which are also
run by "nobody"). Generally, how does one go about increasing the max. # of
user processes. Specifically, how does one go about it for "nobody." I
know in other versions of Unix (HP-UX, for example) it's a tunable kernel
parameter. Is this the same case here? We're running BSDI 2.0.1, btw.

Thanks for any help you may impart. It would be most appreciated.
