Hello all,

Just wondering which command is 'more preferred' for periodic scanning
for bad sectors on EIDE hard drives, bad144 or badsect. The man pages
for bad144 refer to DEC standard and 'if your drive supports...'

Sounds like EIDE disks don't automatically take care of themselves in
the event of bad sectors, so I prefer to take the preemptive approach.

Thanks for the info.
