I ran a DX4/75 with 8M for a while.  It's fine until you run X.  Running
X was a real pain in the ass, but when I got another 8Mb, it was fine -
still is.  Disk is dependent on what you want to have there.  I have full
sources (and space to build them), X, the original distribution files, a
few packages & source archives, 300Mb of DOS s**t on its own partition,
news (<10 groups), all on a 1080Mb disk.  You could probably squeeze
something (of limited use) onto about 60Mb.
