My ISP (Erol's) has been "upgrading" their news server system, with the result that everything came unsynced. I've cleared out my news.rc cache and have been going back through all the posts to update my system again. Anyway, just above the screen saver selector line in /etc/sysconfig, you'll find a line specifying blanking time.
