The problem is (I think) that the floppy kernel doesn't wait long enough after issuing the SCSI reset for the tape drive to be cool. - I have a Sony SDT-5000 which exhibits strange behavior after a reset, it takes 20-30 seconds to get its mind back. Anyway, is there a simple way I can test this theory - i.e., Is there a way to force the wait time to be larger without having to build a custom kernel and figure out how to compress it and lay it on the floppy? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tim Daneliuk / tundra@tundraware.com Voicemail/FAX 847.827.1706
