It : gives me the following error: : PATH=\usr\local\libexec\amanda: Command not found : Unknown Variable modifier Never having used amanda, I don't know if this is a problem with the distribution or a mind-o on your part, but the immediate problem here is that you're using the WRONG BLOODY SLASHES! This is UNIX, not MS-DOG: the directory separator is a forward slash like Elvis intended it to be, not a backslash. Try fixing this path so that it uses the correct directory separator character, then try again. -Bill -- ============================================================================= -Bill Paul (212) 854-6020 | System Manager, Master of Unix-Fu Work: wpaul@ctr.columbia.edu | Center for Telecommunications Research Home: wpaul@skynet.ctr.columbia.edu | Columbia University, New York City ============================================================================= "If you're ever in trouble, go to the CTR.
