Despite my earlier message (which also occurred on GENERIC kernel
compile), I tried this on a different machine with a clean 2.1.5 install
and re-install of /sys - of course, no problems !

Maybe if you load the sources over the top of the 2.1.0 sources, this is
not a good thing.  That's life, I guess.
