As I haven't got a SuperVGA card yet, I am stuck with B/W 800x600. However, when I start 'xv' , it's title picture looks a little strange : Longwords byte ordering is the wrong way round as well as the bit ordering within the single bytes. That way you get vertical stripes divided into four smaller stripes. Loaded pictures look just the same way. Has anybody observed the same problem already ? Ist it me who's doing something wrong ? I've had a look at the sources of 'xv', but haven't found a simple way of changing the bit / byte ordering there. ---- Thanks a lot to all of you who made 386bsd & XFree86 possible ! On my DECstation 320 ( 386sx/387sx @20MHz , 6 MB RAM , 200MB HD ) things work just fine - even though 'gwm' takes its time to start up :) XEmacs, XTetris, XRobots, all of them compiled without major changes. Thanks in advance for your help, Pascal Pederiva
