I woke it up :-) : Sorry, i've tried it, and it remains unreliable. :( : When it works, it's rather fast, and it looks good for things like : ftp. (Btw., without Mike's 0x8000 hack, i can see the effect of your : watchdog code. It's terribly slow then, about one burst each 2 : seconds.) However, it occasionally hangs for NFS. Sometimes it : works, sometimes it simply times out. I cannot boot my diskless : scratch box off the 3c590 in the server, while it works well off the : 3c503. : Guess i have to see to get the technical specs. D*mned, they require : me to send'em a fax for this. I wonder why they've got a Web : server... (they don't even bother to answer mail sent via their : offered Web request form). It remains unreliable for me with the nep0 driver too. It's better, but not *reliable*. The nasty thing is that it breaks TCP connections. NFS (UDP) is ok, so I can do backups once I have a "while :; do ifconfig...." running. Still confused.... :-( -- Brian <brian@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour....
