I have my mac connected via a null modem cable...I can connect the mac to the UNIX by running ppp -direct but if I connect using slirp it only partially works. Telnet is fine but ftp connects but the says no route to host when trying to create its ftp-data connection. slirp can detect its IP address on startup and so I tell it via .slirprc it is 10.0.2.2. Could the lack of IP address be causing problems (it works fine on a 2.1 box that is on an ethernet LAN)? If so how do I give the box one as it dosnt have a network interface...it just uses ppp sometimes... I'm using slirp 1.0c Thanks, Andrew
