Hello.

This is Marcio Saito from Cyclades Corporation.

As Stephen said, the driver comes native in the FreeBSD kernel and, yes,
the Cyclom-Y board works.

I feel you are being tremendously unfair posting this statements in
the newsgroup. I don't have your whole message and I don't know what
your experiences were, but I'm sure that either there was a
misunderstading or you haven't contacted us to solve whatever problem
you had.

There are thousands of happy Cyclades customers using Cyclom-Y to provide
dialup services. There are about 50000 Cyclades serial ports working
only in the free-OS market.

Yes, it is true. The "snivelling" sales man said the truth. FreeBSD
counts on a very tight integration, hardware and technical support
provided by Cyclades Corporation to develop the Cyclom-Y drivers.

The driver comes native in the FreeBSD kernel distributions. No need of
driver downloads, patches or diskketes.

That is correct. The boards should work flawlessly if the user bothers
to read the man page and configure the driver (or if he/she contact
technical support for help).

FreeBSD has Cyclades PCI cards and they are implententing support into
the driver. PCI support is not available at this point.

Cyclades provides free and unlimited technical support to all customers.
Questions can be directed to <support@cyclades.com> and are answered
within 24 hours. Technical support can also be reached at (510) 770-9727.
Product installation/configuration under FreeBSD is fully supported by
Cyclades. Bug reports and contributions can be directed to either
Cyclades or FreeBSD <support@freebsd.org>.

Regards,

Marcio Saito
