Certain DAT tape drives work with the Adaptec 1542cf, but
not with the 1522A. The Sony SDT-5200 is one. It has no
problems working with the 1542cf, but the system hangs
when I try to do dumps to it from the 1522A. I have had
similar problems with an Exabyte DAT drive. Both of these
DAT drives say that they are "Type 1, SCSI 2" drives, and
they have fixed 512 byte blocks.

A DEC TLZ06 variable length block DAT drive seems to work
fine with either host adapter.

Can someone tell me whether the problem is with the AIC
driver, or is it some inherent problem with the 1522A
host adapter???
