Lines: 29 Ok, the time has come. My bank account is screaming in agony at the thought of the up coming dollar-ectamy, but it's inevitable now. I'm going to buy a 486 to run 386BSD, but I've got a few questions first. 1) Can IDE controllers and SCSI controllers (Adaptec 1542B) be used in the same machine? 2) How long will it be before VESA support is rolled in to 386BSD? (The price difference is not that big $100-$200 and there's a HUGE difference in graphics throughput) 3) Does anyone have a favorite mail-order place that has good prices? 4) Does anyone know of any place to definitely avoid? 5) Does anyone know of any computers (or motherboards) to prefer or avoid? BTW, I'm an experienced 386BSD person. I borrowed a 386-40 and I'm using it with very few problems. But it's time to get my own }:-) -- #include <std.disclaimer> #define FULL_NAME "Paul Dokas" #define EMAIL "pbd@runyon.cim.cdc.com" /* oh what the hell */
