It's got some kind of Mach32 SVGA thing built-in, apparently, with 1MB of DRAM. I've fiddled extensively, and I can't get the damn thing to work in anything more than 320x200. If I use the Mach[8|32|64] drivers, it stiffs the monitor, and I can only get the machine back by logging in via a remote terminal and killing the X server process. If I use the VGA16 driver, it works, but it's of course a terrible display because it's only 16 colours and it's very low resolution. It I use the SVGA driver, it works, but only in 320x200 (or maybe that was 256). I've defined all the modes correctly, but it basically ignores my settings completely, and says "using built-in mode". Any clues? Here's the start-up messages: XFree86 Version 3.1.2 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6000) Operating System: NetBSD 1.0 Configured drivers: SVGA: server for 8-bit colour SVGA (Patchlevel 0): et4000, et4000w32, et4000w32i, et4000w32p, et3000, pvga1, wd90c00, wd90c10, wd90c30, wd90c24, wd90c31, wd90c33, gvga, vgawonder, tvga8800cs, tvga8900b, tvga8900c, tvga8900cl, tvga9000, clgd5420, clgd5422, clgd5424, clgd5426, clgd5428, clgd5429, clgd5430, clgd5434, clgd5436, clgd6205, clgd6215, clgd6225, clgd6235, ncr77c22, ncr77c22e, cpq_avga, oti067, oti077, oti087, mx, al2101, ali2228, ali2301, ali2302, ali2308, ali2401, cl6410, cl6412, cl6420, cl6440, video7, ct65520, ct65530, ct65540, ct65545, ark1000vl, ark1000pv, ark2000pv, realtek, generic Using pcvt driver (version 3.32) XF86Config: /etc/XF86Config (**) stands for supplied, (--) stands for probed/default values (**) Mouse: type: Microsoft, device: /dev/mouse, baudrate: 1200, 3 button emulation (timeout: 50ms) (**) SVGA: Graphics device ID: "My Video Card" (**) SVGA: Monitor ID: "My Monitor" (**) FontPath set to "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/,/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/" (**) SVGA: chipset: generic (**) SVGA: videoram: 1024k (--) SVGA: clocks: 25.18 (--) SVGA: Using builtin driver modes (--) SVGA: Builtin Mode: 320x200 (--) SVGA: Virtual resolution set to 320x200 (--) SVGA: SpeedUp code selection modified because virtualX != 1024 PEXExtensionInit: Couldn't open default PEX font file Roman_MX connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
