It just means that you have to choose : the hardware that works. That does not in any way imply that it : has a problem, since ALL OSs do not support ALL the hardware available : (That is true even with your precious Linux or the : Magnificent MS------S). : The problem sir, lies with you and you can solve it very easily. : Learn English and read the Hardware Compatibility Sheet. A simpler : way, is to call Walnut Creek and ask for a refund (if they refuse : because your stupidity does not imply a defect in their product : ((which would be understandable on their part)), then drop me a : piece of mail and I will buy it from you for what you paid for it, : because we do not need garbage like you in our community). I think the reply given here was more than a little on the harsh side and replies like this are not going to be of any use to people who are new users of FreeBSD. FreeBSD is a great system to use but as other people have said it is a really good idea to check on the cards and other equipment that it works on, the same as with Linux. We run FreeBSD in our labs in preference to Linux because it does run with our SCSI cards (among other things). Simple motto, check to see if FreeBSD runs on your equpiment if not change it or try Linux. My experience is 90% of _users_ don't care what OS they are on as long as it works for them.
