Anybody have > an idea how to break this link without destroying directory tree??? Are you using some sort of 'cd/popd/pushd' alias in your cshrc files? If so, put a 'cd' line in just after the aliases. That'll reset the directory so the shell prints /home/name when they log in. An alternative is to switch to a shell (zsh, bash, ksh, tcsh etc.) that prints '~name' when it notices it's in a home directory. -Dan Nelson dnelson@emsphone.com
