installed FreeBSD 2.1 and configured the kernel to support a PS/2 mouse
with the following line:

device	psm0 at isa? port "IO_KBD" conflicts tty vector psmintr

and then ran MAKEDEV to create psm0. on bootup it finds the mouse (either
a logitech trackman marble or a compaq mouse, depending on which one
doesn't work :)). when i run startx, x pops up, but the mouse refuses to
respond, and then the keyboard locks up completely, forcing me to power
off the machine to reboot it. :|

i've read in some FAQ that trackballs can lock up the kbd, so i tried a
regular boring mouse, and it still fails.

anyone dealt with this? please respond email as well, for i don't check
news that often...thanks.
