I'm currently running 3.0b4 on X under 2.1R, with no trouble, running a 20MB '486DX-50. I have only two changes from the original installation: I have a symlink so Netscape can see /usr/X11 instead of /usr/X11R6, and I installed the /nls directory from the distribution tarball. The only other possibility that occurs to me right now is the possibility of a problem with your particular video card or driver. I hope this helps! -- Ken Are you interested in | byte-sized education | http://www.play-hookey.com over the Internet? |
