Message-ID: <BxDBwH.8GA@unx.sas.com> Date: 7 Nov 92 23:00:17 GMT Sender: news@unx.sas.com (Noter of Newsworthy Events) Organization: SAS Institute Inc. Lines: 25 Nntp-Posting-Host: torpid.unx.sas.com I'm currently trying to get pcnfsd working on 386bsd. I've played with things enough to determine that the password checking is working and the correct authentication record is sent back. Then, (on the PC) I get a message of the form: ERROR: RPC Authentication error Is this the "vouchsafe" problem with file systems exported from 386bsd? Again, I'm pretty sure this is not the user authentication; when I kludge up pcnfsd to return failure in that situation, I get a totally different message at the PC end. I _believe_ this error is occuring at the mount RPC. - Dave Rivers - (rivers@ponds.uucp) (sastdr@unx.sas.com) -- UPDATE ALL INFORMATION AND POD INTO COSMOS - Federal Express
