Certainly not AMD cpu compatibility. I FreeBSD 2.0 on a AMD 486DX4-100 for almost 2 yrs without any problem and FreeBSD 2.1 on a AMD 5x86-133 since it was released. Both machines are up 24hrs x 7days since installed :) Hope that helps....
