we use bsdi 4.2 an an internet-server and a pc via modem as a client.

we use dialin via modem using ppp with a transferspeed of 57600 bps. my
ftp-client contacts the server and display "socket connected" and
"waitung for wellcome message". the server needs about three minutes to
answer. we get the same result using netscape 3.0 to display the
home-page. from contacting til receiving takes minutes.

if we try to uplaod a file the throughput starts at 4.0KB and goes down
in a few seconds to 0.01 KB.this makes a datatransfer allmost
impossible.

if anybody knows how to adjust bsdi please send an e-mail.

P.S. Apology our poor english, because we are german so you can answer
in german.
