Before you despair too much, check your root directory for the
.commonutils and .{whatever that other one is}.  The extract 'command'
is a shell function that is in one (or both???) of those files.  They
might still be left over from when you installed.  If they are, start
up a 'sh' shell and '. .commonutils' to source the files into your
shell.  You will then have Extract, as well as the other installation
commands.
