Extract and the other installation commands are functions defined in
the script files /.instutils and /.commonutils . You have to specify
/bin/sh as your shell (/bin/csh does not work) and then source the
definitions to your shell ". /.commonutils" .
Then continue with the normal installation.

You should put the two files into root's home directory, only root
is allowed to use them.
