John B. Mooney:

I just set up pppd on a sparc 1+ running netbsd 1.1 connected to a US
Robotics Courier modem. In my system log, I'm consistently getting
   messages like

	[fifo overruns]

the problem is the driver. i have been working [in very limited time and
space] to back port gordon ross's sun3 zs driver over to sparc which can
reportedly drive at higher speeds. i do not know of any other fix.
