I've read everything I can find regarding the installation process without luck. I have downloaded the entire /bin directory from one of the mirror sites and put it in a dos partition on the same disk as I will put the FreeBSD partition. Everything seems to go well during the installation process. It slows considerably however starting with chunk 48 and remains slow for the next 5 or so chunks. Once the installation procedure ends, I get the message: "MAKEDEV returned non-zero status" 100% I continue on and see this message: "Installation completed with some errors. You may wish to scroll through the debugging messages on vty1 with the scroll-lock feature. You can also chose "NO" at the next prompt and go back into the installation menus to try and retry whichevevr operations have failed. I switch terminals, and scroll through the messages. Most of them say: "Id.so failed: can't find shared library "libc.so.2.2" One message says the same thing about libc.so.2.0 One message says: chmod: fd/*: No such file or directory. I don't know what's going on here. Anyone have any ideas? --Jason
