Sorry under FreeBSD neither Netatalk or CAP require an other routing
software or hardware is all your Macs are on Ethernet. They use the Berkeley
Packet FIlter built in to the FreeBSD kernel.

One point to not it you have to set the option in the kernel config.

pseudo-device	bpfilter 12


12 is pretty reasonable for CAP is you want several logins at once.
