I have done it with 'Pentium' and '386' clients from a NetBSD 'Pentium' server. You can find a description and example files in ~ftp/pub/NetBSD/ports/i386/diskless on this machine. (wipux2.wifo.uni-mannheim.de) If the description files are out of date I'd like a unidiff or contextdiff of any changes that were necessary to make it work. The description explains how to boot NetBSD from an MSDOS-menu in config.sys (MSDOS 6.0) but booting from a floppy-disk-kernel should work too. Remember to change the IP-addresses and names if you use the example files. >Also tried to boot the box with boot.bin burnt into an EEPROM. I've never tried that.
