Ive recently begun using BSDI 2.1 on my mail shell account computer.
Very soon after installing, we began to have random reboots. no core
dumps, no warnings, just seemed to reboot out of the blue

Well after lots of studying, we noticed that sometimes when a user is in
the middle of running a program, pine, irc, tf, etc, and drops carrier on us,
sometimes the program will continue running, and its CP usage as reported
by TOP will grow and grow and grow till the idle time is 0% and the CPU
usage is at 95%

Not long after, the computer will die and reboot of course.

My question is is this a known problem, is there a patch, or any solution.

And its not the intall, weve tried many times
