Sloan Foundation X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.4 Lines: 21 I am having some problem attempting to dialup using ppp. I am using trumpet winsock for dialling purposes. These are some of the errors/problems: 1.) kernel: ppp0: stalled output 2.) truncated output 3.) from the dialup ppp machine, I could ping the server machine but from the server machine, I could not ping the dialup machine 4.) from the dialup ppp machine, I could connect anywhere else using their IP addresses but I could not connect using their hostnames 5.) when the ppp machine logs off, the PPPdialin.down file is not executed When I do a "tcpdump -i ppp0" and a.) I ping from the dialup machine to the server -- it's OK b.) I ping from the server to the dialup machine -- only the request is there with no reply (also, the modem doesn't transmit) Help.
