Whats the problem? Since the matrox cards won't work under LINUX without the addition of a 3rd party piece of software (which you have to pay for) then surely its just a case of the consumer deciding whether they want to go that route. Most people will probably just stick to buying a card they know they can get a 'free' driver for and Matrox will have shot themselves in the foot. Companies have no obligation to provide LINUX drivers for their cards, or release the specs to third party developers for free. If they don't then they must realise they will hurt sales of their hardware but thats the way it goes. Write to millenium and complain if you don't like their policy, and just don't buy their cards till you can get a driver. Its not like anyone puts a gun to your head and forces you to use a Matrox millenium card..... Gavan -- email: gmoran@nyx.net | 'There can be only one!' or G.Moran@ee.qub.ac.uk | - The Highlander
