There are significant differences between the sources trees of 2.1.5 and -current. Julian Elischer has integrated the kernel code from netatalk into the FreeBSD source in -current. I do not know if Julian made any modifications to the netatalk code, but you may want to look over his work. Also, note that Mark D.'s port of netatalk depends on the kernel options LLC and CCITT.
