Anyone know where I can find / get a precompiled 'rz' binary for NetBSD /
   i386?
It must run standalone, ie. not require anything like 'ld.so' etc.
(I'm trying to install NetBSD 1.1 on a PC without tape, CD-ROM, it only has a
   serial line.)
I think it will be less work to transfer the 'base11' files via a comms
program an rz than via 32 floppies!
(Mail me if that is more appropriate than replying in this newsgroup.)

Have you considered to set up a SLIP connection after booting from the
kernel image + install filesystem floppy?

You can, then, (e.g.) NFS mount a directory with the distributions, or
ftp them to a local (BSD) partition, after it is set up by the
1stlevel install procedure.
