With the Xinside server I >am at the mercy of Xinside, and they don't seem to be too worked up >about fixing the problems. > >1) The server prevents Netscape from running Applets. i had this problem initially as well. if it's the same, you get a error box complaining about some problem with unable to load applet loader for javaSCRIPT or some such nonsense? anyway, i fixed the problem by configuring the machine to use a sparc as the fontserver. not that this is a soluation for everyone, but it should get you started in the right direction to solving this problem (if indeed it is the same problem). (suggestion: use a local fontserver --- like tcp/localhost:7100 -- as your fontpath.)
