I promised to make Ghostscript 2.4.1 (delivered with the etc01 distribution of 386BSD) available for anon-ftp. Finally, I managed to do a upload to the nearest ftp-site. This version of gs includes drivers for epson printers, HP paintjet printers, X11 (XFree86) and the drivers for low- and high-resolution fax formats. (I am still working on netfax for 386BSD). The file is on: hasler.ascom.ch:pub/gs2.4.1-bin.386bsd.tar.Z It includes the gs2.4.1 binary, the makefile (to let you see what is really included) and a short README. It doesn't include the fonts. They should be available from different ftp-sites. I didn't try the new fonts which came with the newer versions of ghostscript (2.5.1 or 2.5.2). hasler.ascom.ch is 139.79.129.1 I will build a boot-image with the new SCSI-drivers, terry's patchkit applied (and corrected for the introduced "slip" TCP/IP bug) and the new boot-blocks and load that to the same system in the same directory. This will be available tomorrow morning (MEZ or CET or MET that is). Have fun with gs 2.4.1 (it works for me in the XFree86 environment and seems to work more or less with netfax). Norbert Bladt. P.S. If you have problems with the ftp-site please mail-me and I will try to contact the sys-op. -- Norbert Bladt, Ascom Autelca AG, Worbstr. 201, CH-3073 Guemligen, Switzerland Phone: +41 31 999 65 52 FAX: +41 31 999 65 44 Mail: nbladt@autelca.ascom.ch UUCP: ..!uunet!mcsun!chsun!hslrswi!aut!nbladt
