Date: 11 Aug 1996 22:59:46 -0500 Organization: Exec-PC Lines: 13 Distribution: ? Message-ID: <4uma7i$4v4@earth.alpha.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: earth-le1.execpc.com I'm wondering about the suitablility of using netBSD or freeBSD as a development platform for a networking management system. It seems as though the OS is free to use in a commercial product except for the GNU components. Is this a sane thing to do? Is there a compiler I can use without running up against GNU type restrictions? (The was I read the license, I can't charge for any code I develop with gcc.) Is there a way to compensate the authors in the (unlikely) event we make money on the project? Pointers to info and relevant FAQ's are appreciated. thanks, Jim Wayner
