I can't get it to work either.  I have set CLASSPATH to point at the
java_30 file which I installed in /usr/local/netscape/java/classes.
When I access a page containing a Java applet, I see no errors but I don't
see any sign of the Java applet running either.

My version calls itself 3.0b6Gold (X11).  I don't know what the "Gold"
signifies, but the README file suggests it ought to run Java applets.
