I've tried to install NetBSD/pmax to Personal DecStation 5000 model 25
last Sunday and failed in vain. Somebody out there who succeeded
in installing NetBSD/pmax on digital pmax product line, could you drop
me "Hints and Tips for PMAX installation" ?

I managed to create correct installation disk using Ultrix 4.4 after
horrible struggles (I was so stupid enough to have created PMAX bootdisk
with i386 PC. Don't do that....). When I tried resulting boot the
disk, I got a message as follows;

	>>> boot 3/rz1/netbsd
	Boot: 3/rz1/netbsd
	open (3/rz1/netbsd) failed: 21
	Can't boot '3/rz1/netbsd'

Boot: message indicates PROM monitor successfully loaded NetBSD boot
record, but the next line tells it was impossible to locate /netbsd
binary on miniroot filesystem. The number 21 seems to mean 'EISDIR'
but it doesn't make sense to me.

I used NetBSD-1.1 release kit to create bootstrap disk, and also tried
(pre?) 1.2 binary snapshot taken from ftp.dsg.standford.edu. Both made
no difference. I tried two different types of HDs without any success.
My procedure for boot disk was;

	[1] disklabel -R -r -B -b rzboot -s bootrz rz1 TARGET_LABEL
	    dd if=miniroot of=/dev/rrz1c seek=16
	or
	[2] cat rzboot bootrz miniroot >/dev/rrz1c
	    disklabel -R -r -B -b rzboot -s bootrz rz1 TARGET_LABEL

Any suggestion?
