Yes, it's an internal modem, so that "cable" is connected. I've since discovered another thing. The modem ISNOT dropping, the link is just hanging. So far I do not know if it is this end, or if it is the host end. netstat shows shows nothing other than the connection to my win95 machine, and the two udp local connections. ifconfig show the tun0 connection as being up and working. non of the logs are showing any error either. is there an option I can set in ppp.conf that could catch this dead circuit, and recycle? -- Pat Sonnek - VTAM/NCP Systems Programmer Best Buy Co.
