Message-ID: <49432@shamash.cdc.com> Date: 9 Nov 92 19:07:11 GMT Sender: usenet@shamash.cdc.com Organization: ICEM Systems, Inc. Lines: 16 I'm looking at a 486DX-33 (2 VESA LB slots, 6 ISA slots, 256K cache, 8 MB DRAM) that uses the UMC chipset with an Intel 486. Has anyone heard of the UMC chipset? And does anyone know if I'm going to have problems running 386BSD? BTW, I'm a little ignorant when it comes to [34]86 motherboards. The UMC chipset that I'm talking about serves the same function as the OPTi chipset in my 386DX-40. Quick responses are greatly appreciated (I want to buy the machine today (11/9) or tomorrow (11/10)) -- #include <std.disclaimer> #define FULL_NAME "Paul Dokas" #define EMAIL "pbd@runyon.cim.cdc.com" /* oh what the hell */
