I have a pentium 100 with 16 megs of ram, a trident video card TGUI 9680 chipset(supported in Xfree86 beta) and a 28.8 modem. I am able to dial out on my modem using kermit. During bootup, I get a couple of error messages, that I cannot fix. ifconfig_tun0: not found starting routing daemons: routedrouted: router/udp: unknown service starting network daemons: portmap syslog: syslog/udp: unknown service inetd. Why can't sysconfig find ifconfig_tun0?? the device tun0 is there in /dev What are the routing daemon errors and the network daemon errors?? Also when I try to start X windows, I get error messages: _X11TranSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno=2 _XSERVTransSocketCreateListener: failed to bind listener _XSERVTransSocketINETCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed _XSERVTransMakeALLCOTSServerListeners: faild to create listener for tcp Fatal server error: Failed to establish all listening sockets giving up xinit: Interupted server call (errno 4): unable to connect to X server xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.
