Since I have had difficulty connecting to the Walnut Creek
home page and can't read information files, can someone
inform me of the following:
1. What is the latest stable version of FreeBSD?
2. What is the latest interim (SNAP?) version?
3. Which one provides support for:
a. Adaptec AHA-2940UW (ultra wide, i.e., SCSI-3
with 68-pin high density connector)
b. Adaptec APA-1460 SlimSCSI
c. Adaptec MiniSCSI
4. Will FreeBSD work with the latest generation of
external backup tape units (with 2-8 gigabyte capacity),
such as:
a. Seagate/Conner/Archive TapeStor Travan4 drives
b. Seagate/Conner/Archive 4mm DAT drives
c. Hewlett-Packard Colorado Memory Systems Travan4 drives
(SCSI T4000)
d. Hewlett-Packard SureStor 4mm DAT drives
Thank you for your courtesy.
