Yes. : If it does, where is it? The 4.4BSD-Lite CD. The source code for it is there, but apparently nobody thought it was worth putting in any of the runnable BSD systems since it needs work before it'll build and we already have gdb. : If not, what : is the FreeBSD version of this program? The GNU debugger, gdb. : I understand there is a program called "gdb", but, does it : support Fortran? Yes. Also g++ and Modula2 (I think). : Where can I find a postscript version of : tutorial on "gdb"? Unfortunately, you need TeX to generate the manual (I wouldn't call it a turorial). I've done it on my systems at work. The 'info' distribution that comes with FreeBSD containd the GNU info files for gdb, which you can read online. All the stuff necessary to generate the manual comes with the gdb source code. : Thanks a lot for your advice! If someone really wants to be my hero, they'll fix dbx so that it actually works on FreeBSD/i386. Gdb is incredibly nifty in its own right, but it would be nice to gave dbx too. And if you can supply me with adb, I'll be you're friend for life. -Bill -- ============================================================================= -Bill Paul (212) 854-6020 | System Manager, Master of Unix-Fu Work: wpaul@ctr.columbia.edu | Center for Telecommunications Research Home: wpaul@skynet.ctr.columbia.edu | Columbia University, New York City ============================================================================= "If you're ever in trouble, go to the CTR.
