I finally got GCC 2.3.1 compiled (takes some time on a 4Mb machine).

Tried compiling the kernel.
Minor syntax errors found (pccons.c),
Error when linking: symbol ___main undefined in init_main.
(I guess this symbol comes from libgcc2)
Removed this undefined symbol in assembler input file.

Then I tried booting with this kernel.

Result: Instant reboot.

So my questions are these:
Have anyone succeeded in using Gcc-2.3.1 for compiling the kernel.

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks
kim
