Out of the box, Apache tries to keep between 5 and 10 unused copies of httpd in memory ready to take requests, up to a default maximum of 150. This is satisfactory for ordinary usage. If you want to change these numbers, you'll have to get the full distribution from http://www.apache.org/ (it's free), edit the Configuration file and set httpd.h to the correct path to your .html files, so Apache can find its working files. I hope this helps! -- Ken Are you interested in | byte-sized education | http://www.play-hookey.com over the Internet? |
