Date: Sat, 24 Aug 1996 18:35:33 GMT Organization: Satan's Little Oven Lines: 14 Message-ID: <dsmith.7.321F4B74@midwest.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: dial4-30.midwest.net My i486 box has its modem on COM3 (IRQ5), and because of this, sysinstall can't use it to do a FTP-install. I know the modem is set up properly (I'm using it right now under MSDOS to send this plea for help), and (if I boot with -c) it does manage to find it. The problem is that sysinstall only presents options for com1 and com2. I'd rather not download all the files I need onto disks or buy the CDROM unless I absolutely have to. I also can't reassign the modem to another comport. Suggestions? ----- David Smith, Thinker Of Deep Thoughts :) http://www.prairienet.org/~dsmith/library.html
