Surely, XFree86 is available for FreeBSD, fvwm is one of many free X11 window managers, comes with sources, FreeBSD has a C compiler, so guess ... BTW, FreeBSD comes with a ports collection of over 500 ports, among these fvwm, fvwm2, fvwm in a Win 95 look alike, afterstep - a Next alike fvwm clone ... > B) Given the machine will be used as a ppp access machine and for sft. dev. > What size HD would people recommend ? > I reckon 1.2-1.8GB Should be sufficient. Dunno, ask your hardware dealer ;-) > E) IS there anyhting I really should know b4 installing a 2nd HD I hope, that the version of FreeBSD, that you want to install, can fully truly support/handle enhanced IDE ... Usually under Unix it's a better idea to buy SCSI disks ...
